 Presumably St. Patrick's was an alternative school housed in a building near the old St. Patrick Catholic Church, which probably housed a parochial school for the parish.  There may have been some relationship to the Portland Junior High School which opened in 1974 as a small alternative school located in a room of the Neighborhood House at 225 North 25th Street.
