Spring Meadows Treatment Program in Middletown was operated by the Kentucky Baptist Homes for Children. It was designed to serve youth who have a history of psychiatric as well as behavioral problems. The home opened on its Middletown campus in 1950. JCPS offered classes to its residents. (The school's title was Spring Meadows Specialized Treatment Program.) The home closed in 2006 and reopened in Bullitt County. The Middletown property was sold for residential development, but was later sold to a private school, the Highlands Latin School, which planned to open a campus on the site in fall 2010.
