A new district, numbered 67, was created at Anchorage circa 1885 for the white pupils in that area.  A school, first called Common School 67 and later Sleepy Hollow School, was established on the south side of Owl Creek Lane in Anchorage.  In 1890 it was relocated to Evergreen Road.  The school closed when the Anchorage Graded and High School was opened.
