Louisville Male High and duPont Manual High Schools were merged in 1915 by the Louisville school board to provide one high school for white male high school students.  Boys opened in the new Male facility at Brook and Breckinridge Streets.  The merger did not prove successful and four years later, the two schools were separated to resume their independent histories.
