A document in the history folder describes a 1-room school from 1905 to 1927, when a room was added.  Brentlinger School consolidated with Fern Creek Elementary when it closed.  The building and one acre were sold to Gilbert Rogers in 1942.  The remainder of the land was returned to heirs of the original grantors.
