Bashford Manor opened in 1960 on a nearly eight-acre campus. When the school closed in 1980, the facility was used for district offices. Project Way-Out occupied the school from 1981 to 1983. From 1983 to 2015 the school housed Buechel Metropolitan High School.  In 2015 the facility became the Minor Daniels Academy.
