The Adair School succeeded Prestonia # 2.  This property was purchased in 1936 at lot #61 on Adair Street.  A four-room building was constructed there.  Adair continued to operate in the Prestonia # 2 district until 1941 when an Adair district was established.  Houses and other structures in this area were demolished in the 1990's for expansion of the Louisville airport.
