Buechel Metropolitan was an alternative school for behavior modification.  The school sought to return students to their original schools for graduation.  Buechel educated middle and high school students from 1983 to 1996.  Middle school students were relocated to Kennedy Metro Middle School in 1996.  Buechel was located in the former Bashford Manor Elementary School building.  In 2015 Buechel Metropolitan and Kennedy Metro merged into a new school named the Minor Daniels Academy at the Buechel location.
