Forest School was originally located on LaGrange Road between the settlements of Anchorage and O'Bannon.  The school moved to a new two-room building on Berry Road in Berrytown in 1912.  An addition was constructed in 1928. The students were transferred to Middletown or Hite Elementaries when Forest closed.  In the last year of operation, the school only had the younger grades. The property was sold in 1963 to the First Baptist Church at Berrytown.
