The former Durrett High School was converted into the Durrett Education Center in 1981.  JCPS offices relocated to Durrett from the Brown Education Center and other locations in the district.  In 1991 the facility became the new home of the historic Louisville Male High School, which moved from its longtime Brook Street location.  Offices moved to the C. B. Young, Jr. Service Center.
