Jewel Manor (or Jewell Manor) was a girls' center operated by the Kentucky Department of Welfare as a treatment center for delinquent girls. The facility later became the Cardinal Treatment Center. Cardinal closed in 2004 and its land was transferred to the Commonwealth of Kentucky to be added to the adjacent E. P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park. The buildings were scheduled to be razed in 2008.
