Jeffersontown Vocational School opened in 1977 in the facility which housed Jefferson County Vocational School from 1964 to about 1965 when it moved from its former facility in Valley Station.   An ambulance service planned a move to the school building in 1994 after Jeffersontown Vocational School had closed.
