The school was located near a Corss tie plant or a creosote plant, also near Cane Run School. Black residents requested opening of this school. The school apparently was affected badly by the Ohio River flood of 1937 and did not reopen afterwards. The school was apparently named for Crispus Attucks, an African-American killed in the Boston Massacre in 1770.
