Official Name: Eisenhower Elementary School
Year Opened: 1969
Eisenhower Elementary is named for Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th president of the United States and commanding general of Allied forces in Europe in World War II. Eisenhower began as a "double school" in the Greenwood school building with a school day in the afternoon and evening. The school moved to its own new facility in Pleasure Ridge Park in 1970.
