Official Name: Dixie Elementary School
Year Opened: 1960
Dixie Elementary was constructed on the Valley High School property in Valley Station. Dixie was one of several schools built after Jefferson County voters approved a special building fund tax in 1952. Dixie adopted a year-round school calendar in 1997.
