Official Name: Alex R. Kennedy Elementary School

The current Alex R. Kennedy Elementary School opened in 2015 in a facility once holding another elementary school of the same name. That school operated from 1955 to 1981 on the site where another Alex Kennedy School educated students from 1881 to 1925. Alex Kennedy donated the land for the original school and the later schools also honored his legacy. The facility was a book depository and storage from 1981 to 1996. It housed Kennedy Metro Middle School, an alternative school, from 1996 to 2015.
As of January 2021, the Archives has no yearbooks for Alex R. Kennedy Elementary School.
