Official Name: Cane Run Elementary School
Year Opened: 1832
Cane Run School originally opened as a log cabin in 1832 on the estate of Madison Miller. That building stood for 127 years until 1959 and its site later became the Parkway Drive-In Theatre. The school has operated in as many as seven different buildings since its creation. The second school building on Millers Lane West was later used as a corn crib. A fire destroyed the third school. A fourth school was constructed in 1928. That school received additions in 1932, 1941, 1944, and 1949. The present school was constructed and dedicated in 1972.
As of January 2021, the Archives has no yearbooks for Cane Run Elementary.
