Year Closed: 1852 circa

A primary school opened in the late 1840's at "Pedee."  A neighborhood with this name was believed to exist in "the little area" around Kentucky and Preston Streets.  This schoolhouse presumably closed when several new schools were constructed and opened following the adoption of a new city charter in 1851.
