Prestonia Environmental School, a school providing children with behavioral or emotional problems alternatives to the regular classroom setting, opened in the old Prestonia Elementary School building when the Heywood Environmental program was moved to this location.  After four years its students were transferred to the new Waller Environmental School and Prestonia became the Gheens Professional Development Academy.
