O'Bannon School received an addition in 1913.  Residents in the area paid for electric lights in 1914.  The school was located on what is now Factory Lane.  The school was closed in 1960 and its students were transferred to either Zachary Taylor, Middletown, or Eastwood elementaries.  The property was sold in 1960.
