Official Name: Waller-Williams Environmental School
Year Opened: 1998
Waller Elementary was one of the first new schools to be built with revenue from a special building tax approved in 1952. Located in Pleasure Ridge Park, it was named for longtime Kerrick School teacher Alice Waller. It closed as an elementary in 1980. The Willoughby Special School relocated to the Waller building but was closed in 1983. The Waller Environmental School opened in the building in 1986. Following Waller Environmental's move to the former Williams Middle School building and its renaming to Waller-Williams Environmental in 1998, the old Waller Elementary building was auctioned and razed. A Lowe's Home Improvement store was built on the site.
