Official Name: Trunnell Elementary School 

Year Opened: 1967

Trunnell Elementary opened in 1967 and is named for Bertha Trunnell, a teacher and principal for 43 years in the Kenwood and Auburndale communities. It is located adjacent to Doss High School on property formerly owned by the Wiser family and once called "Wiser Valley." A four-classroom addition was constructed in 1995.
