Elementary School Archives O-Z: Rangeland

Official Name: Rangeland Elementary School 

Year Opened: 1962

Following Rangeland's opening in 1962, the school quickly became so crowded that its classes were given in double sessions in 1965. Part of the student population moved to the new Price Elementary in 1969. Rangeland was paired with Luhr in 1975 as part of the desegregation plan. Kindergarten through the 3rd grade were given at Rangeland and the upper grades at Luhr. In 1981 Rangeland resumed grades K through 5. In 1995 Rangeland began a schoolwide year-round schedule.
