Breckinridge Metropolitan High School succeeded a short-term alternative program known as Franklin Transitional High School. It was located in the building formerly home to Franklin Elementary. The Board identified the former Breckinridge Elementary as a more suitable facility and programs located there returned to the renovated DuValle Education Center. Breckinridge Metropolitan offers programs for students in transition from juvenile residential facilities and students with discipline and truancy issues.
