Official Name: Ballard High School

Ballard High was named in honor of the previous Ballard School. The school opened in 1968 with the 7th, 8th, and 9th grades. Ballard added a grade each year until 1972. Middle schoolers were later sent to Kammerer Middle School. A fine arts center was added to Ballard in 1998.
