Valley High Library: Students

Lunch Library Rules

Library Lunchtime Sign Ups

The library will be open for lunch this year, and we’re excited to welcome you! To ensure a pleasant environment for everyone, please follow these rules:

Students who wish to spend their lunch period in the library must sign up in advance. Sign-ups will begin on August 7 and end on August 31. If you do not sign up by August 31, you will not be allowed to come to the library during lunch. Another sign-up opportunity will be offered at a later date.

To sign up, you must provide your full name, lunch period (1, 2, or 3), and your 4th-period teacher’s name. Only 20 students per lunch period will be accepted, and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students who are approved must report to the library no later than 5 minutes after the lunch bell each day and sign in upon arrival. Only school-issued Chromebooks are allowed—no cell phones, earbuds, or other electronic devices. No food or drinks are permitted.

If you are late, absent more than 3 times, or caught using an unapproved device, you will lose your privilege to be in the library during lunch.
