The mission of our library is to create a community of lifelong learners through serving the students, faculty, staff, and parents of Western High School by providing a friendly, welcoming environment while promoting a love of reading, information literacy, independent learning and social responsibility.  The library will contribute to the school’s vision that all students will graduate as innovative, critical thinkers prepared and equipped for college or career success.

Journey to Success is a developmental framework that defines Jefferson County Public Schools’ (JCPS) shift to transformational, student-driven learning. Created to empower students to explore their interests, showcase their learning, and develop the skills they need to thrive, Journey to Success builds upon the JCPS Backpack of Success Skills, which launched in 2018.
