This week's lessons

This weeks lessons will focus on:

March 9 -13

K-2:  I can create a descriptive writing piece.

3-5:  I can use a database to research information.



Previous Lessons:


March 2-6:


K- I can use words and pictures to tell about a story. 

1: I can share what the author is trying to teach in a story.

2: I can show that I know the characters in a story by telling  about them.

3-5:  I can write a limerick.

Feb. 24-28

I can choose a book based on personal  interests at the Book Fair.

(Student voice and choice)


Feb. 19-21

K-2: I can work with a partner to complete a scoot activity.

3-5 I can collaborate with a partner to complete a scoot activity.


Feb. 10-13

K-2 : I can create a Valentine’s Day card using color, line and form.

3-5: I can research a famous Black American using a database.




Feb. 3-7

K-2: I can make a prediction about events in a story.

3-5: I can collaborate with a partner.


Jan. 27-31:

K-2:I can write a reflection about my black dot design.

3-5: I can write a letter of kindness to someone.

Jan 21-24

K-2: I can create and color my black dot design .

3-5: I can locate information in a dictionary.

Jan. 10-17

K-2: I can use a graphic organizer for my ideas.

3-5; I can review key ideas of a story and explain my own ideas.

Jan. 7-10

K-2: I can make a text to self connection using the book Ten Black Dots by Donald Crews.

3-5: I can present my project to a group.
