Central High Library: Can't Visit the Library?

• Students will use LibraryWorld OPAC to place holds/reserve books. 

• Students may also request books through email or Ask Librarian Layne on the CHS LibGuide.

• A member of the library staff will deliver your book to your class as quickly as possible. 

• Students may pick up their book from the library with a signed note from a teacher.

RETURNS

• Books may be returned to the book return outside of the library at any time.  
• Books will be quarantined after return before being circulated to another student. 
• Please note the due date and return/renew books in a timely fashion so other students may enjoy the book.

Curbside Book Checkout

• Students will use LibraryWorld OPAC to place holds/reserve books. 

• Students may also request books through email or Ask Librarian Layne on the CHS LibGuide.

• Students/families may come during designated pickup times to retrieve their books curbside.

• Books will be bagged and labeled with student names.

• Pickup will be designated for one day each week (Wednesdays). Families may text my Google Voice number (502.437.4566) and I will bring the bagged books to the curb, masked and gloved.

  • Books may be picked up between 7:45 and 2:30 every *Wednesday.

  • If Wednesdays do not work for you or if you experience other issues with Central pickup, please state this in the comments section when requesting your book(s). 

RETURNS

• Books may be returned following the same method of texting 502.437.4566. 
• Books may be returned to the drop box that will be located just inside the main doors of the school. 
• Books will be quarantined four days after return before being circulated to another student. 
• Please note the due date and return/renew books in a timely fashion so other students may enjoy the book.
