Since November is Election Month, it is a great month to nominate your favorite author for Lowe's Author of the Year. From now until October 30th nominate your favorite author.  We will open the voting poll the week of November 10th and announce Lowe’s Author of the Year on November 17th.  

Rules:

  • The Author must have written at least two books.
  • You may only nominate one author. 
  • Nominations may done through the hardcopy form or electronically.
  • Some of the nomination comments will be read on the morning announcements.
  • The Lowe Author of the Year will be announced on the morning new on November 18th.

Please note: Once every 10 years authors who won this award in the past may be nominated again. Hence, our past winners: David Shannon, Aaron Blabey, Raina Tegemeier, Dr. Seuss, R.L. Stine, Dave Pilkey, J.K. Rowling, Jeff Kinney, and Mo Willems may be nominated again this year.

How to nominate: Fill out the nomination form sent home in your backpack or the Google Form below naming the author, your favorite book that he/she has written, plus 3 reasons he/she deserves winning Lowe's Author of the Year award.
