Ten Broeck-KMI was the name of a private psychiatric hospital, which includes inpatient care for children, and youth who are in need of acute care or extended care, as well as outpatient care.  The hospital is located on part of the old Kentucky Military Institute campus, from which the KMI designation in its name is derived.  The Ten Broeck hospitals were named in honor of a nineteenth century Kentucky thoroughbred horse which became a racing champion.  In 2009 the hospitals changed their name to The Brook.
