JCPS Professional Learning and Development Library

This valuable resource provides access  to a diverse, curated collection of eBooks that can easily be shared with others and downloaded through Google Classroom and Docs with G Suite for Education integration, email, or bookmarked links. These eBooks will be useful for any staff interested in growing professionally!

KYVL (Kentucky Virtual Library) is the portal I use when instructing students about research. This is my go-to and I suggest you check it out as well. Click on the For Students tab for the Research Rocket, a step-by-step visual I use with students during the research. While at school, there is no need for a username/password.

KET Encyclomedia

Thousands of high-quality classroom and professional development resources from KET and our public media partners with this online digital service.

Britannica offers digitally what it has offered for so many years on paper - information! Click on the icon to the right of the letterhead to access Original Sources (primary sources), Social Studies Resource Packs, ImageQuest (trusted images for students to use - copyright free), and more. Click on the Elementary tree to take your students to online encylopedia use.

TeachingBooks is an easy-to-use website that adds a multimedia dimension to the reading experiences of children's and young adult books. This database is developed and maintained to include thousands of resources about fiction and nonfiction books used in the K–12 environment, with every resource selected to encourage the integration of multimedia author and book materials into reading activities.

This website is amazing! This database allows you to find a listing of books by type, such as narrative format, artisitic medium, literacy methods (ie. cause and effect), literary devices (ie. alliteration), genre, character traits, theme and many more!
