Iroquois Library: Welcome!

The mission of the Iroquois High School Library Media Center is to provide an environment for students to speak their truth and explore knowledge that interests them. Students will recognize themselves in the content around them, and have access to use information to further their goals. All students will see that it is possible with the right tools to achieve their ambitions. The IHS library will curate a culturally relevant collection and provide equity and access for all students. Students will have access to relevant educational experiences where they will engage in inquiry and reflection. The IHS library will collaborate with all stakeholders to create a learning environment that is equitable, engaging, and safe for all students.

Library Policies/Expectations

• Library hours: 8:15 - 3:30, Monday-Friday
• Students must have a Library Pass from their teacher in order to use the Library during class time.
• Students may checkout 2 books for a 2 week period.  Books may be renewed for as long as needed.
• No late fees but, students must pay for lost or damaged books.
• Students must be respectful of other patrons and library staff. 
• Food, gum, candy, and drinks are not allowed in the library.
• No running, horseplay, yelling, etc.
• Do not sit on tables, put feet in chairs or on tables, or move library furniture without permission -- respect the library space.
• Ask for help if you need it.  Mrs. Bowen is here to help you!
