All sources used in research must be evaluated for the following (CRAAP):

• Currency
• What is the date of the information? 
• Is something more current available?
• Relevance
• Does the information relate to your topic? 
• Is it at the appropriate level for you (too easy, too difficult)?
• Authority
• Who is the author/sponsor of the information? 
• Are they qualified to write on the topic? 
• What are their credentials? 
• Accuracy
• Where did the information come from?
• Can you verify it in another source? 
• Purpose
• What is the purpose of the information - to inform, sell, persuade? 
• Is the information fact, opionion or propaganda?
